“Three C’s to remember: Consistency, Confidence, Commitment”
Daniela Montoya began her dance training at a young age and fell in love with the feeling dance gives. At the age of twelve, she began training more intensely and developing the competitive desire to be great at this art. Winning various scholarships and assistant positions with conventions and competitions she would attend. Eager to always move and improve, Daniela was mentored and began teaching at fifteen and learned the joy of passing on the gift of dance. She has not stopped teaching since and has been fortunate enough to be able to be a mentor to various students, setting award-winning choreography, and preparing them to be productive and confident individuals in the real world. By the age of twenty-two, Daniela received a Masters in Visual Anthropology at the University of Manchester, UK. During her time in the UK, she was blessed to teach at one of the premier studios in the Midlands and couldn’t wait to get home, teach, and dive into the practices she developed. After moving back home to Miami, Daniela teamed up with her mother, Patricia Arango, to begin working a designing her own line at Opera Dancewear. Shortly after her return, she began teaching, where she now considers her home base, Paramount Dance Studios. Teaching all ages and levels at Paramount Dance Studios, Daniela has enjoyed teaming up with Lianna Reynolds and Ashley Beckno, to help train and mentor their amazing community of dancers. Her love of the art form, the dedication, and discipline it has taught her motivates her to accomplish her goals. She wishes to instill this same motivation, discipline, and desire for smart, creative choices in her students. Helping prepare them to be individuals who are confident in whom they are, their capabilities, and their decisions. Because dance is so much more than movement, it provides the structure for the kind of individual who is effective and efficient, but most of all intelligent, passionate, and ambitious.
